More information

Curanail is used in the treatment of a variety of mild fungal nail infections. It should only be used if only one or two nails are affected, and only the upper or side parts of the nail are infected. For more severe fungal nail infections, you should consult your doctor.

Curanail contains amorolfine which works by destroying the fungus that causes the infection. The medicine as known as antifungal and helps to restore the natural balance of your nails.

Most fungal infections are not dangerous but they can be unsightly and unpleasant. Fungal nail infections differ each time but they could be discoloured, thicker or brittle. Clearing the fungus quickly with Curanail is painless and effective.

Follow the guidance given in the enclosed patient information leaflet and be sure to read it before commencing use of the medicine.

Prepare the infected nail by filing it (including the surface) using a nail file. Prevent the spread of the infection by using a separate nail file for the infected one, than the one you use on your healthy nails.

Clean the nail using the swab provided and then dip the applicator into the bottle and apply the lacquer evenly over the nail. Wait for it to dry (about 3 minutes) and then you can wash and bathe as normal.

If you wish to apply nail varnish, wait 10 minutes after application before you do this.

The recommended dose of Curanail is to apply it to the infected nail once a week. To ensure you are using the right amount of product, do not wipe the lacquer against the bottleneck as you draw it out.

If you forget to use it then don’t worry as it doesn’t matter if the doses are not exactly one week apart. Simply apply it when you remember and consider marking the day on a diary or calendar to assist you.

If anyone accidentally swallows any of this product then go to your emergency department and take the product packaging with you.

Before taking this medication, you should always first check that it is suitable for you and any of your associated medical conditions. Do not take Curanail if:

  • If you are allergic to any of the ingredients or any similar medications
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • If you have poor circulation in the hands or feet
  • If you have damage or pain around the nail
  • If you have a weak immune system
  • If you have diabetes
  • If your fungal nail infection is any more than mild
  • If you have more than 2 infected nails in total

Because of the way that medications interact with each other, you should talk to a doctor before taking Curanail if you are already taking any other medications.

You should cease using Curanail immediately and contact your doctor if you experience any serious side effects or if you notice signs of an allergic reaction.

You can safely buy Curanail online at UK Meds, without the need for a prescription or consultation with a medical professional, however you should adhere to the advice given in the patient leaflet enclosed.
