How does Zindaclin gel work?
Zindaclin is an antibiotic that reduces the number of bacteria, stops the skin pores becoming blocked and stops new spots forming. This medicine may also help to reduce the redness of the spots you already have.
What are the benefits of using Zindaclin gel?
Acne can have both physical and mental effects, with spots often causing pain and irritation as well as embarrassment and self-consciousness. Treating acne simply and efficiently with Zindaclin gel, allows patients to feel good again.
How do I use Zindaclin gel?
Zindaclin gel is a prescription-only medication. Always follow the advice of your doctor and read the patient information leaflet provided in the medication packet.
To apply, start by washing your face gently with warm water and mild soap and then pat dry with a towel. Squeeze the prescribed amount of gel onto your fingertip, and then dab the gel onto the forehead, chin, nose and both cheeks, and then spread it gently and evenly across your whole face.
Take care only to apply gel to the affected areas and not healthy skin where you don’t get spots. However, you also shouldn’t just dab the gel onto the individual spots so be sure to use as directed.
What is the proper dosage of Zindaclin gel?
Zindaclin contains the active ingredients clindamycin, at a strength of 1% (equating to 10 mg/g) respectively.
The recommended dose is a pea-sized amount of gel, applied once daily as directed by your doctor. To get the best results with Zindaclin, you should not stop using it once your acne starts to clear up, but rather you should keep going as long as your doctor tells you to. Successful treatment can take months and sometimes you won’t notice any improvement until after several weeks, but it’s important to continue as long as your doctor tells you to.
If you forget to use your Zindaclin gel, then use it as soon as you remember, unless it’s nearly time for your next dose. In this case, skip the forgotten dose and move straight onto the next one. Don’t worry but don’t double up on your dose to make up for a missed one.
If you use more Zindaclin gel than you should, then simply wash your skin with plenty of water and feel free to contact your doctor if you are worried.
