    Face covering updates for England

What are the rules for masks in England?

As of Thursday 27th January, face coverings are no longer required to be worn in indoor venues, in England. The English government has reverted back to plan A from plan B, following the successful roll out of the vaccination program.

More information on the rule changes for England can be found here.

What are the rules for Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales?

In Scotland, masks must still be worn in indoor public spaces and on public transport.

For Northern Ireland, masks are mandatory on public transport and in shops and hospitality venues.

For residents in Wales, masks are also required on public transport and in indoor public spaces.

Should you continue to wear a mask in England or not?

Following the relaxation of the rules again, wearing a mask will now be a personal choice for people to make. However, it is normal to feel anxious about the changes and continuing to wear a mask may be a good option if you still have concerns about COVID-19, particularly in enclosed busy spaces.

As a nation, we have all become very accustomed to wearing masks and seeing other people wearing face coverings. Therefore it will not be considered odd if you still continue to wear one.

We have a range of masks and face coverings available, plus a number of PPE solutions, to help to continue to keep you and your family safe. Plus, all the PPE and lateral flow tests that we provide, are available on next day delivery, just in case.
